Kanye West addresses public concerns about his mental health, revisits abortion comments
The 43-year-old rapper took to Twitter on Friday, July 31, to again talk about how he once wanted to abort their now seven-year-old daughter, North, after Kardashian, 39, deemed his recent comments on the matter at a campaign rally and the tweet storm following it, a “bipolar episode”.
“I cried at the thought of aborting my first born and everyone was so concerned about me … I’m concerned for the world that feels you shouldn’t cry about this subject,” he tweeted.
In a second tweet, West addressed public concerns about his mental health while suggesting that something larger may be at play at trying to keep him out of the presidential race.
“There is a tactic of 4 D’s: Distract, Discredit, Dismiss, Destroy. I am quite alright. Take a second and think about what is being projected here.” He tweeted.
The YZY founder’s recent statement comes less than a week after he asked for the reality star’s forgiveness, admitting that he knew his comments about their private life were hurtful.
“I would like to apologise to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”
On Monday, July 20, in since-deleted tweets, West accused his wife of trying to “lock [him] up with a doctor” as she reportedly tried to seek medical help for her husband after he openly spoke in tears about wanting to abort their daughter North at a campaign rally last month in South Carolina.
“If I get locked up like Mandela… Ya’ll will know why.”
In a follow up tweet, the Grammy winner said that he’s been “trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek [Mill] at the Warldolf for ‘prison reform'” and claimed that his wife “was out of line”.
Earlier this week, the makeup mogul went to Wyoming to reunite with her husband where she was spotted crying in a car next to him.
“She isn’t getting back what she needs from Kanye,” they told the outlet. “She was at the point that she flew to Cody to basically tell him their marriage is over and to say goodbye.”
According to the source, West is reportedly committed to their marriage but hasn’t made any moves in an attempt to make it work.
“Kim is very torn. The last thing she wants is to be divorced with four kids. She knows that she will be fine financially, but her concerns are the kids and the partnership. She is moving towards a divorce, but who knows if she will actually sign papers.”
